Scouts SA Annual Report 2016

SCOUTS SA ANNUAL REPORT 2016 18 A key part of Scouting is the Scout Method – the elements of the Scout Method when used together provide a rich, active and fun learning environment for our Youth Members. NATURE The Environment Team led by our Branch Commissioner (Environment) James Carter have continued to develop resources and programs to support environmental activities in all of our sections. Groups have participated in programs at our Environment centre at Woodhouse and many other environment activities in their local communities. ADULT SUPPORT Youth led, Adult Support is a principle that distinguishes Scouts as a Youth Development organisation. Our Branch Youth Council is an important voice in our branch working to discuss topics and provide feedback for the movement. Jessica Lintvelt is our BC Youth Involvement and provides this adult support to our Youth Members as they contribute valuable ideas to Scouting. Thank you to all Commissioners, Program Advisers, Leaders of Youth, Activity Leaders and Adult Helpers who work tirelessly and passionately delivering this incredible worldwide Youth Program to young South Australians.
